SCOTTISH GRINDSTONES, COMMEMORATIVE STONES AND BELL FROM THE OLD CHURCH

This little land was the property of Duncan L. McLeod, who donated it to the municipality. Mr. McLeod was a great volunteer in the community. Here, you can find the bell from Milan’s Bethany Presbyterian church, demolished in 1989.

In the center, you can read an epitaph to honour those from the Milan district who served in the 1914-1918 war.

On each side, the Scottish grindstones that were brought over from Europe for the building of the mill but that never served.

Scottish grindstones and commemorative stone of the war.

Stone in memory of the veterans.
